Competitive sport is offered at the school and our commitment to excellence is maintained in this segment of school life. Extra-curricular activities form an important part of learners’ holistic development. Being a smaller school has the advantage of ensuring that all learners have ample opportunity to involve themselves in these activities.
However, the core business of the school is not extra-curricular activities – the school is clear about its main focus areas. Hence, a focused extra-curricular programme is followed. The extra-curricular programme supports the school’s aims while offering fun and exposure to a healthy lifestyle.
Sport and culture is integrated into the school programme with practices generally taking place late in the mornings. Apart from representing the school, approximately three school hours per week are allocated to sporting or cultural activities with some cultural activities taking place after school hours.
